Shamanic Tour through the Mayan World

Day 1 - Thrusday, October 22, 2015 Guatemala City - Guatemala Antique

Journey from La Aurora International Airport to the ancient city of Guatemala. Ranked since 1979 Cultural Heritage of Humanity. From 17h to 20h Biodanza Workshop - Presentation.

Day 2 - Friday, October 23, 2015

Antique Guatemala

Breakfast at the hotel.

Participants are welcomed and taken to Iximche Archaeological Site (1h30 drive). Before entering the site we will make a Maya ceremony to ask permission to go Iximche. At the end of the day there would be a Biodanza workshop.

"Iximché" is derived from the word "Ixim" (corn) and "market" (tree) and means "tree of corn." This city is located 90 km west of Guatemala City. It was built in a valley at 2260 meters above sea level , south- east of a peak surrounded by cliffs, which were excellent natural defenses against attacks from neighboring villages such as " Quiche " and " Zutuhiles "

Day 3 - Saturday, October 24, 2015

Ancient Guatemala -  Iximche -  Ancient Guatemala

After breakfast departure to arqueological site Iximche. A mayan ceremony will take place at this site.

Day 4 - Sunday, October 25, 2015

Ancient Guatemala - Chichicastenango - Panajachel (Lake Atitlan)

After breakfast, departure to Chichicastenango where tourists participate in another Mayan ceremony in a sacred place named "Pascual Abaj."

After the ceremony, participants will have the opportunity to stroll through the craft market and visit. Back at the hotel, Biodanza workshop from 17h to 20h.

Day 5 - Monday, October 26, 2015

Panajachel - Santiago Atitlan - Guatemala City

After breakfast, the group will board a small boat to move towards the Lagoon San Marcos, then visitors will ascend to the top of a small hill called Qajil where they will participate in a new Maya ceremony (note that lunch is not included ). In the afternoon, the group will board the boat and head to Panajachel, then take the bus to Guatemala City. Biodanza workshop from 17h to 20h. Accommodation.

Day 6 -Tuesday , October 27, 2015

Guatemala City - Flores ( Peten ) – Tikal

After breakfast, starting at 5am the group will be transferred from the hotel to the airport for the flight to Flores (Peten). Then we will take the bus to the Archeological site "Tikal", Undoubtedly the best example of classic Maya culture. This park, large 576 km2, offers a combination of monumental buildings surrounded by lush vegetation is home to exotic wildlife. This is the largest ancient Maya civilization of the classical period cities. Tikal or "Tik'al " according to the modern Mayan orthography is one of the largest archaeological sites and urban centers of the pre-Columbian Maya civilization.

Lunch will be served inside the park (drinks not included). After lunch, return to the hotel for Biodanza workshop show from 17h to 20h. Accommodation.

Day 7 - Wednesday, October 28, 2015

Flores (Peten) - Corozal - Yaxchilan – Palenque

Breakfast and box lunch type. Starting at 5am the group will take a boat to cross the Mexican border ( transfer time is about 5 hours and the cost of migratory passage to Mexico is not included).  The route to take is "terracería" which leads to the archaeological site of "Yaxchilan", which means "Green Stones" in Maya.

Departure for Palenque. Accommodation.

Day 8 -Thursday , 29 October 2015.

Palenque - Campeche

Breakfast. Visit to Palenque, one of the most impressive archaeological sites of the Mayan culture. Compared to other Mayan cities, it is considered a medium-sized site, less important than "Tikal" or "Copán". However, it stands out from the others by its significant architectural and sculptural heritage.

Palenque is a city located in the Mexican state of Chiapas

Day 9 - Friday , 30 October 2015.

Campeche - Uxmal - Merida

After breakfast, departure from Campeche to visit "Uxmal" and caves "Lol Tun". Maya Ceremony.

"Uxmal" Like "Chichen Itza" and "Tikal" Uxmal is one of the major archaeological sites of the Mayan culture, the Classic period.

In the afternoon arrival in Merida, capital of the State of Yucatan. Biodanza workshop from 17h to 21h. Accommodation.


Day 10 - Saturday, October 31, 2015

Merida - Chichen Itza – Tulum

After breakfast, departure for "Chichen Itza". It is one of the most important archaeological sites of Yucatan. Exceptional remnant of one of the largest pre-Columbian civilizations: the Maya. Chichén Itzá Maya "Chichen" which means "mouth of the well" and "Itza" means "Water Wizards ". Archaeological site of the Yucatan Peninsula, located in the city of Tinum, in the state of Yucatán is an important vestige of the Maya civilization. The remains of the imposing architecture, have become iconic for their strong Toltec influence. The god who watched over the site, according to Mayan mythology, was "Kukulcan" Maya representation of "Quetzalcoatl" god made the Hall of Toltec culture. Must consider "Chichen Itza" as a city or a ceremonial center which has traversed different periods of construction and which has been influenced by different peoples What have occupied and developed since its inception.

Breakfast and Biodanza and neoshamanism workshop. Accommodation included.

Tulum  - Airport

Breakfast. Transfer from the hotel to the Cancun airport to board the flight to the place of origin.
